Songs I made to explore how I listen to music and become aware of my influences.

There's some blatant ripoffs, heavy-handed sampling, and excessive wandering, but that's all part of the package, baby.

For a Music & Politics course midterm focused on unpacking an artist's catalog and cultural context. I chose Oyamada Keigo (AKA Cornelius) and responded to my research with these three pieces that sorta kinda reflect his development as artist - from manipulating nostalgic sounds as homage to pulling the listener into a personal sonic space. (there's a fourth intro piece that's basically a fancy sizzle-reel-mix of his two decades of music, but I'm not bold enough to upload that)
